Bangkok has much to offer the visitor, whether as a tourist or on business, foreigners love this amazing metropolis, which is an intriguing blend of old and new. Walk past a plush skyscraper, turn the corner and experience the beauty of an ancient Buddhist temple and everywhere you go, tasty street food is available around the clock.

If you are soon to be visiting the City of Angels, here are a few must-see attractions to fit into your schedule.

Soi Cowboy & Nana Entertainment Complex

The famous small soi that is full of go-go bars is definitely a place you need to experience; bright neon lights, beautiful girls and so much more! The action kicks off at about 7pm, and the bars stay open until 2am, and it is always lively and vibrant. Nana Entertainment Plaza is only a stone’s throw from Soi Cowboy, and you could visit both venues on the same night.

Jatuchak Weekend Market

The biggest market in Bangkok is located next to Jatuchak Park; this is a very busy market that Thai people love to visit. You can barter and prices are very low; if you want to buy souvenirs, this is the place to go! The market is absolutely huge and you can get a free map from the office, which will help you find various sections. The venue opens at 8am on Saturday and Sunday mornings until 7pm and they sell just about everything; you can even order teak furniture and have it shipped to your home country.

Sukhumvit Road

The main artery of Bangkok, you can stay at the Residence in Sukhumvit, which is a first-class hotel with a wide range of attractive packages, all at affordable rates. Staying in Sukhumvit Road means you are centrally located and with the BTS line running right past the hotel, you have the perfect set up. Silom Road

Known as the financial district of the city, Silom Road is also the home of Patpong, where there is a lively night market, as well as the famous red light area. Things start to get busy as the sun goes down and it is very pleasant to walk the street, looking at the vendors’ stalls with many types of products for sale. Amongst other things, we do recommend taking a dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River, where you can enjoy the beautiful illuminated temples, while sampling a delicious buffet.
